Day 1: Flight from Reykjavik to Nuuk. Explore the Colourful Nuuk.
Although Nuuk is home to less than 16,000 residents, Nuuk is the largest town in Greenland and a bustling mix of the modern and traditional. Go for a walk to the charming Colonial Harbor where you also find the beautiful Cathedral of Greenland, make sure to pass by Myggedalen, an area of charming pastel-colored houses scattered along the coast. Stop for a cup of coffee at the Cultural Centre.

Day 2: Boat tour to the Icefjord (7 hours)*
The tour starts with a 2 hour journey through the Nuup Kangerlua fjord. The route is flanked with towering mountains, many of which were formed billions of years ago. Reaching our first destination, the mound of the Kangersuneq, we will spend some time to enjoy our lunch and the stunning view of the Narsap Sermia glacier and the icefjord where hundreds of ice floes converge. There will be ample time for photographs. On the way back we will make a stop and take a walk in a small abandoned settlement and we will also pass by a beautiful waterfall before we arrive back in Nuuk.

Day 3: Activity of choice (cultural/active/adventure focus).
Nuuk has a great variety of activities to offer. Go for a hike in the beautiful mountains behind Nuuk. Enjoy coastal views of the fjord system and the towering mountain of Sermitsiaq. Pass by small lakes and streams of fresh, drinkable water and try fresh blackberries and angelica on the way. Or go on a guided city sightseeing and learn about the history of Nuuk and the Greenlandic culture and traditions. There is a good chance that you can have your own catch of the day for dinner. These activities are not included in the package price.
