Isolated East Greenland 3 Day Self Guided Tour

For a large part of the year, the inhabitants of the Ammassalik area are isolated from the outside world. This requires that residents be dependent on some of the more traditional ways of life. With three days in East Greenland, you will get the chance to see more and add more depth to your experience. During your stay you’ll visit both Kulusuk and Tasiilaq, which is the Ammassalik area’s administrative center, and the biggest settlement in East Greenland with a population of around 2000. In Tasiilaq, the local museum (optional) gives a good overview of the area’s history. You will also have the option of embarking on one of the many hiking trails in the town’s surroundings, or you can set sail on a boat tour (optional). By extending your stay in East Greenland you’ll get to know, or at least see, the tip of the iceberg of a culture that is quite unique.
