Whale Watching in Reykjavík: 
Summer season is great for whale watching, as the wildlife in the bay is at its highest peak. This is the time when the minke whales are at their most abundant, along with the white-beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises and humpback whales, giving us the chance to enjoy and understand them in their natural environment. Our sighting success on previous tours is 91.40% however the cetacean abundance is unpredictable and varies with the food availability of our shores. The most common cetacean in the area are the Minke whales, White-beaked dolphins, Harbour porpoises, Humpback whales and occasionally Killer Whales/Orcas and even Fin whales! Duration: 2,5-3,5 hrs (3-5 hrs in winter)
Whale Watching in Akureyri:
Eyjafjord is home to many Humpback whales, that year after year return to the fjord for it’s plentiful food. Our newly renovated and specially modified whale watching ship is capable of carrying 200 persons with spectacular views from our “cinema styled” viewing platforms. Its speed guarantees availability of whale watching tours from Akureyri, where ever the whales might be located in the deepest fjord in Iceland. With ample indoor and outdoor seating, bar and cafeteria, you can be sure that the ride is comfortable and pleasant, even at speed. Our sighting success of Humpback whales in summer 2016 is 100% and among them there have been reports of Blue Whales and White-beaked dolphins. Duration: 2,5-3,5 hrs

TOUR AREA

Our whale watching tours in Reykjavík focus mainly on the southern part of Faxaflói bay, where we are likely to see Minke whales, dolphins, porpoises and even Humpbacks, however each tour is different and routes may be altered for a gentler movement and better views.

In Akureyri we are almost only encountering Humpback whales south of Hrísey, although sometimes they head further north which we have no problem getting to on our high-speed and specially modified new boat! Other species sometimes seen in the fjord are porpoises, dolphins, Blue whales and Minke wales.
